All bug convertibles starting in 1972 had elastic straps on the convertible top boot to hold it securely inside the car to keep the wind from tearing it off when driving, these straps attached to hooks which we now offer. These were screwed into the rear wheel well area at the rear lower edge of the white plastic hinge covers. One pair needed per car $23.95
